WOW Mining Guide - 3 Ways to Make a Fortune in Gold With Mining

If you're trying to make gold in World of Warcraft one of the fastest, and easiest routes to take is by mining. This WOW mining guide is designed to give you three great tips to make your wallet much heavier in World of Warcraft.

1. Be prepared before you venture out to mine - There have been many times that I have spent 15 - 20 minutes getting to a zone to mine a specific ore type only to realize that my bags were full, or my mining pick was in the bank. Make certain you have adequate bag space, and your mining pick in your inventory before you leave the main cities.

2. Pay attention to the mining market - Many people often get so focused on getting that coveted, expensive, titanium spawn that they fail to realize that copper is 20 gold a stack, or more often, thorium is going for 50 gold plus. Don't forget to check the prices on vanilla wow ore types as they are very easy to farm and tend to have very high prices in the auction house.

3. Watch trade chat frequently - People like to learn new professions constantly. I, personally have cashed in very well lately by watching people in trade chat looking for large quantities of specific ore. For example, I recently saw someone wanting to buy 200 copper bars. I inquired why to discover he was leveling jewelcrafting. I agreed to go farm all of the materials needed to get him to 450 jewelcrafting for a wonderful 3000 gold payout.

WoW Blacksmithing in Outland

For those of you with the Burning Crusade expansion, you'll be able to unlock the Master level of goodies up to 375 skill. The fiFrst thing you'll want to do is visit Honor Hold or Thrallmar in Hellfire Peninsula and find your Blacksmithing trainer. For Alliance this is Humphry, who can be found inside the forge at Honor Hold. For Horde players, Rohok can be found at the forge just south of the mage tower in Thrallmar. There are six new recipes you'll receive at 300 skill, but don't be in a hurry to use them just yet. You may notice that some of your old, pre-expansion recipes are still orange. These will give you skill points too, so if you still have old materials laying around you may as well use them for easy points. Another option is to make the Enchanted Thorium Blades, which is a new recipe but does not require any expansion materials.

If you don't have a stash of leftover thorium, I'd suggest starting with the consumable items and milk those as long as you can. As usual, crafted armor is not a good seller and you'd do well to avoid making it unless you want it for yourself. You should be able to reach at least 315 and possibly 320 just by using pre-BC recipes if you choose to go that route. Once you exhaust your pre-expansion materials, you'll be collecting Fel Iron and crafting items with it. Be aware that smelting ore into bars now requires two ore for each bar. So you'll need to collect twice as much ore for each item you plan to make.

As mentioned earlier, weapons are a better bet for sellable items than crafted armor. Most crafters prefer to make armor because of the lower materials requirement, and as a result lots of crafted armor gets posted for sale at a loss. This becomes even more of a problem with Death Knights on the scene who are already be geared with strong level 60 items. However, crafted gear in the 62+ range starts to pull ahead of DK Standard Issue garb, so it's worth trying your hand there. If you can swing it, make some of the melee weapons and you'll be more likely to recoup your investment. Melee weapons are generally in shorter supply than armor and tend to sell at better prices. And the starter DK weapons start to be less competitive past level 62, so you might be able to sell to folks looking to upgrade.

Generally speaking it's not too difficult to reach 340 skill with the various Fel Iron recipes from the trainer and a good supply of fel iron ore. Once you reach 340 skill, you'll probably be forced to start using Adamantite recipes to skill up. I would strongly recommend that you purchase the Lesser Rune of Shielding. It goes yellow immediately, but it is by far the cheapest recipe you'll have at this point. After that you can make any of the green adamantite weapons to skill up, even though the recipes are yellow they still give very good points. This would also be a good time to make any of the level 65 specialty items or or blue Adamantite gear that you're interested in having. The mats are fairly high, but the Adamantite Battlegear is a pretty good upgrade for leveling Death Knights. It might be worth making a few to see how they sell, this set could be pretty appealing to DK's who aren't running Outland dungeons.

Once you've reached 350 skill, you can pause to do the Dance of Joy. This is because the Wrath expansion has saved you from the ugliest portion of Blacksmithing. Before that, you were forced to collect 100+ bars of rare ore and 75+ primals to get the final 25 points in Blacksmithing. Now all you have to do is visit a trainer in Northrend and start learning Cobalt recipes.

This WoW Blacksmithing Guide will help you to level your Blacksmithing skill up from 1 to 450.

World of Warcraft Blacksmithing Guide

The World of Warcraft Blacksmithing Guide will show you that making rods can be quite lucrative because you can sell these to other players. For example, the first thing that you’re going to want to sell is Silver rod to Enchanters. They need a lot of silver rod to get their special Runed Silver Rod, so there a big demand for these. Now, to get from 106 to 125, you’re going to need to create 60 pairs of bronze leggings, and will require 120 bars of bronze. You can make this by combining iron and copper, or you can just purchase the items needed to make it.

All you need is 25 heavy grinding stones to get to 150. You are probably figuring out that there is a pattern. All of the stones are needed are used to create recipes for the next item that is required to make it to a new level. Before long, you’ll be making sweet items like, Flamebane Bracers.

When you reach this point, you’re now an expert. I hate to break it to you, but its not going get any easier, but you will be able to make items now that will have a much higher value. All of the time that you’ve put into learning your craft will now really start to pay off, I promise.

In World of Warcraft Blacksmithing, to go from 151 to 200, you’re going to make 25 bronze leggings. These will require 150 bronze bars. You can obviously I suggested it’s a good idea to combine this profession with mining. It’s pretty expensive to purchase these bars and your profit margin will be a lot smaller if you’re not mining them on your own. You’ll also have to make 25 iron counterweights. The counterweights require 50 coarse grinding stones, 100 iron bars and 25 lesser moonstones.

In order to progress to level 210, you’ll now need to get 110 solid grinding stones. Once you reach this point, you’ll now have to make 5 golden scale bracers, that require 10 heavy grinding stones and 25 steel bars. To become an Artisan you need to get to 225 and, you’ll have to finish off by making 10 steel plate helms. This will require 140 steel bars and 10 solid grinding stones.

After you’re an artisan, WOW gets to be a lot more enjoyable. Now to go from 226 to 235, you’ll have to make 10 more helms using the recipe above. Once this is done, you’ll need to make 15 mithril spurs. The spurs require 60 mithril bars and 45 solid grinding stones. Next you will get 10 dense grinding stones to get to 260 and you’ll be ready to for the next items which are 5 thorium bracers, which need 60 thorium bars and 20 blue power crystals, and 20 thorium helms that require 80 yellow power crystals, 20 star rubies and 480 thorium bars.

After you’ve hit 300, it’s up to you whether or not you want to continue. A lot of players may stop here just because it’s a little more difficult to get up to 375 from this point on. However, if you do keep going, you’ll finish your master blacksmithing and chances are the things you are making will be in high demand, which will bring you lots of GOLD.
